Danielle was an absolute lifesaver. Her postpartum services, along with lactation support and sleep consulting, made having our second child (with a two year old) as graceful and easy as it could possibly be. She is an incredible cook, an invaluable resource and always knows how to help out, even without being asked. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for support.
Working with Danielle was one of the best decisions I could have made for me and for my family after welcoming our second baby. From the moment she arrived at our home, she was a calming presence with an abundance of knowledge around postpartum and newborn care.
After enduring 50 hours of labor followed by an emergency c-section with the delivery of my first child, my husband and I decided to hire a doula for my second pregnancy. I knew I would be attempting a VBAC and I would need additional support. We are so happy and grateful to have found Danielle. Danielle is quite simply amazing.
Danielle is such a special person, and I struggle to quantify the myriad ways she helped our family become a family. As our post partum doula for the first three months (and then some) of our daughter's life, Danielle was by our side through it all. As knowledgeable as she is kind, she is fundamentally there for you when you most need it.
I can't say enough about Danielle! She was absolutely awesome at helping me throughout my whole pregnancy and after having my son too. I had several obstacles come up during my pregnancy and Danielle was there to help me overcome them and come up with alternate plans when I needed to. She was so supportive when my birth couldn't go according to plan due to complications and really was there for me to talk through it all.
Danielle is incredibly supportive and makes herself available before, during, and after delivery. It was wonderful to work with her for my first pregnancy.
What stands out most is just how comfortable I felt talking to you about different things and never felt judged. Anytime I had a question, even postpartum about breastfeeding, Danielle had answers. She also was direct and told me if something was not a great idea or helped me see it from a different angle. I also felt comfortable and agreeable with what she told me and found it to be good advise. Every time I talked to Danielle she was very positive and helpful. The conference that we had before birth where she went over things like eating mints, drinking water, rebozo techniques (with pictures) was helpful and calming as I felt prepared.
"We hired Danielle as our doula as I was very anxious about my first time giving birth. She was so encouraging and gave us the information we needed to ease my anxiety. She was always available to chat if I had questions."
"She provided a lot of emotional support for both myself and my husband. No one ever anticipates that they would give birth to their first baby during a global pandemic. My husband and I were very stressed. But Danielle truly helped us to feel more at ease throughout the whole process. When we came home, Danielle was there to help us transition into a routine with the baby. Everyone is always scared of taking the baby home for that first night, but we felt much more at ease because of Danielle’s support."
"Danielle's knowledge and the information she shared are very valuable. Her encouragements and answers to all my questions stand out the most to me. It really made me feel at ease and knowing I had her support really help me during the newborn phase."
"One of the things that stands out most in my memory is the time we spent walking up and down the maternity ward during contractions. They started coming faster, more frequently, and more intensely that I expected, so it was invaluable to have you to lean on (literally!) and help me breathe through them."
"Just your presence there with me was so comforting, especially since my husband couldn’t be there at first. You also were there to remind me to stay hydrated, use the bathroom, change position, relax and color a picture, help me not get disappointed if things seemed to start slow...all those things together made the whole experience more peaceful and joyous. You were also able to help us get started with breastfeeding right away, which was super important to us."
"I’ll never forget you my husband putting pressure on my lower back to help ease the pain before every contraction! There are so many things stand out to me! Again, our meetings at my home throughout my pregnancy really helped us tremendously. In addition, I ended having a much longer labor than I anticipated. I know it was physically demanding on everyone, but the fact that you remained with us for almost 2 full days throughout all of the uncertainty was so reassuring. The way you also taught my husband how to help and support me during my labor was great. He also appreciated that he was able able to “take a break” from the birth and have some lunch and decompress. I know it sounds small but he was so appreciative of this. And till this day he raves how he could not imagine our labor without you."
Danielle is really good at what she does! She is able to determine when to just listen and when to make suggestions. Her suggestions are always helpful, because Danielle has a knack for knowing how to deal with babies, toddlers and both together.
"You were supportive & kept me informed during the birth process. You provided me with data in regard to question I asked of you. You never tried to influence any of my choices, just supported me. You worked hard!"
Danielle was encouraging supportive and loving through out my entire pregnancy. She helped me so much with education and all of my questions for the doctor. Because of her I was educated on my rights. During my labor and delivery she was truly outstanding!
"I was in a situation in which I wanted as natural a birth as possible without being able to afford the home birth I wanted. In turn I decided to find the perfect birth team to help me achieve my goal and knew you were the right choice. I needed you to help me stay focused on my natural choices and support me through some of the difficult moments during my pregnancy & birth."
"Danielle also has the sensitivity to know when the couple needs time to themselves and also made that clear to the staff. She came equipped with essential oils, her ipad with Netflix and music, rebozo, made sure I drank water and held my leg during pushing!"
"Working with Danielle as our doula was such a great experience. I knew almost as soon as we met that she was the right choice for us. We covered a lot of info at our initial consult, as well as discuss any thoughts and expectations I might have for working with a doula. She was very thorough, professional, supportive and comforting during our (2) prenatal visits."
