Starting your career as a birth worker can be both exciting and little overwhelming. Which had me thinking, "what if there was a way to "doula" other doulas?".  And that's exactly when this program hit me- doula mentorship to help guide and grow new or existing doulas while supporting one another in a collaborative environment. 
What does this mentorship program include: 
  • 1,  1 hour "one on one" chats either virtually or in my office in New Windsor, NY 
  • Unlimited text and email support to help navigate concerns with clients and how to be the best support system for 5 weeks
  • 5, weekly in person group gathering in New Windsor, NY (zoom can also be arranged) with a different topic such as:
    • Marketing & social media 
    • Website building
    • Birth comfort and touch 
    • Contracts and client messaging 
    • What can prenatal and postpartum client meetings look like 
    • What do I bring to births and postpartum clients 
    • Postpartum support- what is most helpful
    • Meal and recipe ideas for postpartum clients 
    • Basic bodyfeeding support and when to call in help
    • Signs of PPD/PPA in clients and how to bridge the subject 
    • Building your referral list 
    • Creating handouts and how to find evidence based information
  • Phone and text support while you are with clients to help brainstorm and share ideas
  • Built in network of back up doulas 
  • Advice, support & encouragement from a professional doula of 9 years with over 100 clients 
  • Help picking out a certifying doula organization (if you are looking to certify) 
  • Option to sit in on my "Tackling the 4th Trimester class", "Normal Infant Sleep" and other classes offered by Beloved Birth & Baby
This program is open to anyone interested in birth or postpartum work. The mentorship runs for 3 months and is offered quarterly.  After the 3 months you will be offered the opportunity to join Beloved Birth & Babies as a birth or postpartum doula.
